Sew Easy

These skirts were so incredibly easy, even by my standards.
The pattern was courtesy of Oliver & S and took next to time at all to finish. Somewhat addictive really. The four skirts above were made up for Pop to wear to Kinder last year, costing hardly anything. They will see us through a second summer and be passed down to another little girl we know when the time is right.

I do tend to limit my sewing to small projects as I don't really have a dressmaking gene.
While I do enjoy sewing, I tend to choose smaller craft type activities that don't really involve accuracy or neatness. Looking back at old photos I am so impressed with what my Mum managed to achieve. She seemed to be sewing something all the time.

Indian costumes (with papoose for squinty eyed doll).
Dig that groovy 70's carpet?

Donald Duck tunics for cheesy school photos.

And headscarves, that I seem to remember had a matching skirt.

Thanks Mum. Maybe it's time for some lessons.
