Weak in the knees

And legs. And arms.
I spent a very virtuous day in the garden yesterday and how does life repay me? With aching limbs. Weak in the knees is a bit of an exaggeration, but I am so sore that all I want to do today is rest.
I had been putting off digging over, dividing and replanting the garden bed by our back fence for ages, knowing what a big job I had ahead of me, but yesterday afternoon was lovely and sunny and I really needed to get in and do it prior to the forecast rain due later in the evening.
A couple of years ago we planted this bed out with a lavender hedge, and a row of Mop Tops, all underplanted with Echeverias. Everything grew pretty quickly and having pruned the lavender and Mop tops, all that was left was dividing the Echeverias. I think the variety I have is called "Blue Wave". These are wonderfully drought tolerant and have a great little flower that appears in late autumn.

Today I hope to finalise our accommodation for our fast approaching holiday. Already I have booked in our stay in Penang, Siem Reap and Phnom Penh, but need to find somewhere in Kuala Lumpur and Sihanoukville.
Don't you love the colours of Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion below? We are staying here for three nights and I am really looking forward to doing a tour.

I have tried to book places a little out of the ordinary, rather than choosing big 5 star hotels. Smaller guesthouses that seem to have a bit more character and history, but don't necessarily blow our tiny budget. Off to get our booster jabs tomorrow. Visa photos and applications need to be taken and sent. And maybe start training for stair climbing..... I've heard Angkor Watt has a few....
