So very quiet

Golly! How time flies.
Christmas is here, and it's been over a month since I last dropped in.
How did that happen?

We have been busy little bees, planning our upcoming renovations, and well, it seems I have headspace for little else at the moment. Ask me about anything plumbing related though and I could chat for hours.

Very little has been achieved on the crafting front, a few crocheted glass baubles, a gingerbread house (not really crafting though) and a few handsewn ornaments.

Much time has been spent up ladders, and I imagine many more are to come.

This baby almost did us in - all 13kg of it meant a reinforcing beam in the ceiling, which meant climbing on the roof, removing tiles, replacing tiles broken by big heavy feet,, replacing the very old ceiling rose which crumbled when the old light fitting was removed, repainting the ceiling, etc, etc, etc.
Hopefully everything else will be slightly more straightforward, but somehow I doubt it.
The months to come will see us ripping up the flooring , replacing the kitchen and bathroom, and half of the windows in the house. I promise not to bore you too much with the nitty gritty daily dramas, but things are certainly about to take an interesting turn....

Anyway, I just wanted to check in and say a very Merry Christmas to you all, and hope you all have a jolly good New Year.

P.S. It is a rather handsome light isn't it?
